Description: Despite the bitter temperatures I took advantage of a break in the lake effect snowstorms to shoot Comet Lulin last night. The attached images were shot simultaneously through a 6 inch, f/4 Cave Astrola reflector and a 55MM focal length lens set at f/5.6, both connected to MX-716 CCDs using LRGB filters. They are a combination of shorter exposures tracked on the comet and were taken from just after the comet rose above the horizon until it transitted. While photographing it, I took the opportunity to view it through 15 x 80 binoculars. It was a beautiful sight with the comet present in the same field of view as Saturn.
