Description: A strong Pacific Storm combined with a Mass of Subtropical Moisture was expected to bring significant rainfall to the West Coast last night and this morning. Forecasted amounts of 2-4 inches along the coast and in the valleys, and up to 4-8 inches possible in the Mountains of Southern California. As of 08:00 hrs this morning, I had received only 3.35 inches at my Weather Station in Altadena bringing my Season Total to 12.56 inches. Situated at 1680 above sea level in the San Gabriel Mountains, I had expected more. But, it was a nice steady moderate rate of rainfall which should hopefully have a lesser impact on the burn areas of the recent fires. I have not heard any reports of mudslides. In this view of Downtown Los Angeles the tops of the High Rise buildings disappear into the clouds. The Music Center and the Disney Concert Hall can be seen along the right side of the street.
