WOW ... how did you get that? -- KewlPhotoz
With a nearly ten year old Celestron C5 SCT on an equatorial mount. They have them with a rebate on the current Nex5tar 5E model if inflation adjusted for less than the new price of the old C6. Nice because not too heavy so easy to take out abd setup. Mine is heavier on the German Equatorial mount. I use a refurbished Kodak Z730 5mp camera afocal coupled and a 30mm eyepiece. I use a scopetronix adapter to keep things lined up. I set manually speed zoom and use autofocus for Moon pix. - Ben -- lunar-tic
Luck helps in that the air must be steady to allow good images both photographically as well as visually. If the stars are twinkling a lot the seeing is bad! I learned that in the hour before sunrise if it is perfectly clear the air is at its steadiest. This was true in Tennessee as well as Maryland. Before buying a camera check scopetronix.com for digital camera adapters with their wizard for any cameras that you are considering. Highly recommended! -- lunar-tic
Wow, fabulous, I'm jealous. I don't see where I can send a message to you except for here, so I am so impressed by your lunar shots. Thank you for commenting on mine. -- happycolours
