Oldest stand of American Elms in the US Damaged
Oldest stand of American Elms in the US Damaged
Description: June 8th 2007 a day many will never forget. And for those who live in the Westmount section of Johnstown, their community will for a long time remember this day. The thunderstorm raced across the keystone state and when it hit this region it left a big impact. The people who live here take great pride in preserving the biggest and oldest stand of American Elms in the country but mother nature came through and kicked butt. Winds clocked up to over 70 MPH hit this stand of trees and turned them into tooth picks.
