Cool at Coy Pond
Cool at Coy Pond
Description: This body of water, or in this case, ice and a residual snow, is a kettle pond depressed by a glacier thousands of yers past. The pond extends a fair distance to the right Looking south, I`m standing adjacent to Leggs Mesa which was once a hill that had distant views. The hill was razed a few yers ago so that humans can swim in the diluted carcinogen chlorine. The high temperature 52 F. continued the melt of this pond. The general snow cover disppeared a few day earlier. Only a trace of snowfall recorded so far this March. The average is eight inches.
