We had the same acid rain problem in western North Carolina at high altitude. I'm not sure what the status of it is. -- weathermatrix

In germany we are having public discussions about acid rain since 1981. In the Bavarian Forest you can be seeing the effects since 1991! -- spitzbergler

Saurer Regen, Borkenkaefer, Hurricane, ueberall leiden die Baeume. Hoffentlich wendet sich das Blatt bald. Nach dem warmen Winter werden die Kaefer wieder zuschlagen. Ist bei uns nicht anders, leider. LG -- Marianne Horn

Bei uns haben in den Hochlagen der Saure Regen, der Kaefer und Wind- u. Schneewurf ganze Arbeit geleistet. Andererseits entsteht auch wieder ein anderer Wald.
